The game consists of 30 illustrated cards featuring Ribagorzans words. Each card presents the term in standard Catalan, its dialectal form, and an example sentence to contextualize its use. The mechanic is based on the popular game of guessing the word on one's forehead, promoting participatory and fun vocabulary learning.
This proposal is inspired by the Little Ribagorzans Dictionary, published by the Comarcal Council in 2021, and represents a further step in disseminating the territory's unique lexicon. The new format is designed for classroom use, enabling younger generations to discover the linguistic particularities of Alta Ribagorça.
Copies will be distributed to all educational centers in the region to be integrated as a teaching resource. Additionally, copies will be sent to libraries in the Pyrenees, expanding the project's reach and making it accessible to the public. The game has already been cataloged by the Library of Pont de Suert and is included in the library network.
One of the game's notable features is the collaboration with local artists who have created the illustrations for each word. This artistic diversity makes the cards not only a linguistic tool but also a showcase of territorial creativity.
The project involves the association ADDA de Vielha, the association Escunç, and funding from the local Culture Promotion Plan of the Institut d’Estudis Ilerdencs (IEI). The initiative, which began in 2025, will culminate with its distribution this October.
