Several businesses in l'Alta Ribagorça, specifically in El Pont de Suert and Vilaller, have renewed or formalized their adhesion to the 'Establiments Col·laboradors' program of the Voluntariat per la llengua, demonstrating their commitment to promoting Catalan.

The 'Establiments Col·laboradors' program of the Voluntariat per la llengua has seen two shops in El Pont de Suert, Tabacs i Llibreria Foix and La Fàbrica (celebrating its 150th anniversary this year), renew their adhesion for another two years. Additionally, Forn Codina in Vilaller, with a presence in the county capital, has recently joined the program.
This initiative reaffirms these businesses' commitment to the promotion and social use of Catalan in the commercial and service sector. The aim is to provide safe and welcoming spaces where Catalan learners can practice the language, thereby facilitating their social and cultural integration.
Currently, the l'Alta Ribagorça region has eighteen businesses adhering to this program, which totals over 5,000 establishments across Catalonia. Lists by municipality can be consulted on the CPNL website.
