Renovation works on the drinking water supply network in the Ca n'Oriol neighborhood of Rubí began this week. The works, which will replace 1,220 meters of old pipes, will last between four and five weeks and will cause temporary disruptions to mobility and parking.

The project involves replacing the current pipes, mainly made of PVC and asbestos cement, with new ductile iron pipes. The existing pipes have reached the end of their useful life, leading to recurrent breakdowns and service deficiencies. The renovation will improve the network's operation, reduce water loss, and minimize incidents.
This first phase includes the streets of Valladolid, Palencia, Pontevedra, Ferrol, León, Mallorca, Santander, Cáceres, Badajoz, and Ourense.
The works will primarily take place on the sidewalks, although at certain times machinery will occupy a small part of the roadway. For this reason, some parking spaces will be temporarily reserved to ensure vehicle passage.
Starting November 16, traffic will be cut off on Palencia street, in the section between Ferrol and Ourense streets. This closure is estimated to last two weeks.
The Rubí City Council asks those driving or parking in the area to pay attention to the provisional signage and any changes that may occur in the coming weeks.
