The 'Comerços Aprenents' program, launched in Tremp in 2025, aims to provide basic linguistic tools to individuals working in public-facing roles with limited knowledge of Catalan. Through 15 sessions, everyday expressions and vocabulary specific to the retail sector are covered.
Following the restaurant Llac Negre, which was the first establishment to finish the training last June, Cafeteria Vera is the latest business to complete all program sessions. The participating employee has learned new vocabulary that she now uses daily with the establishment's customers.
