The La Vall de Boí Town Council has launched an initiative to identify owners willing to renovate their empty homes and make them available for rent, aiming to access grants from the Diputació de Lleida and combat depopulation.

This measure seeks to revitalize the rental market in the Alta Ribagorça region, offering owners the possibility of ceding their properties to the municipality or managing them through other arrangements. The goal is to leverage a subsidy line from the Diputació de Lleida that can cover up to 90% of the renovation cost, with a maximum of 100,000 euros per dwelling.
To qualify for these grants, properties must meet specific requirements. They must have been vacant for a minimum of two years, and once renovated, they must be designated as primary residences. Furthermore, the properties must remain on the rental market for a specified period, thus ensuring housing availability in the area.
