A forum of experts highlighted the urgent need for a multi-million euro investment, higher than planned by the Government, to expand the Spanish electricity grid, essential for achieving decarbonization goals and leveraging renewable energy advantages.

The editorial project P de Planeta by EL PERIÓDICO has focused on the transport and connection capacity of the grids, a critical factor for enabling the electrification of industry, transport, and domestic consumption. Participants in the decarbonization forum warned that, without this expansion, Spain could create a bottleneck that would hinder the installation of new economic activities.

A multi-million euro investment is needed above the figures recently proposed by the Government to avoid creating a bottleneck that prevents the installation of economic activities.

In parallel, the Sunday supplement Entender más (Understand More) analyzes the health of solidarity in Spain, especially in the days leading up to Christmas. Data confirms that citizen collaboration remains strong, closing a season marked by support for multiple causes.
According to sector professionals, solidarity is in good health: last year, four out of ten citizens collaborated financially with an NGO, with an average contribution of 152.58 euros. Furthermore, four and a half million Spaniards regularly participate in projects solidarios as volunteers or members of charitable organizations.
