The AP-7 highway faced a complicated day for mobility this Wednesday with two serious incidents: a morning truck collision and an afternoon truck fire, both resulting in kilometer-long traffic jams.

A collision between two trucks near Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, heading towards Barcelona, caused queues of over 10 kilometers starting from Vilafranca del Penedès. The incident, which occurred at 11 AM, forced the closure of two lanes, extending the journey between Vilafranca and Sant Sadurní northbound to an hour and a half.
The second incident of the day occurred at 3 PM in Gelida, southbound. A truck caught fire, and the blaze spread to the roadside vegetation. This led to a complete closure of the highway in both directions for over an hour, once again causing kilometer-long queues.
Firefighters are working to control the fire, and lanes are being reopened gradually as the situation stabilizes.
