This initiative, driven by the valley's local councils, seeks to bring essential services closer to the community and facilitate contact between local professionals and citizens. Information sessions held in April across the three municipalities were well-received, particularly among the elderly, who are a priority group for the project.
The initial service catalog includes options such as physiotherapy, podiatry, dental hygiene, psychotherapy, barber services, and gardening. These services will be provided in municipal facilities like the medical clinic in Carme, the multipurpose space in Orpí, and the Local Social Antigues Escoles in Santa Maria de Miralles, allowing users to choose the most accessible location.
To access the services, interested individuals can make requests via phone or WhatsApp. The project coordination team will manage contact with professionals and monitor the services to ensure quality care.
BenAProp was created with the goal of enabling people to maintain their autonomy and continue living in their rural municipalities, while also stimulating the local economy by providing opportunities for professionals in the area. The project is part of the Strategic Development Plan for Vall de Carme and has received support from the Diputació de Barcelona for its design and implementation, with the collaboration of the Raiels and Impuls Rural cooperatives.
