The Casino de Calaf is preparing to conclude its Democratic Memorial cultural cycle with four events aimed at fostering critical thinking and the reclamation of historical memory through various artistic expressions.

This Thursday, April 23, at 8:00 PM, the program will resume with the show “Catalan Poems of Resistance in Different Languages”. This proposal, by José Antonio Quesada and Tania Moreno, merges music and poetry to narrate stories of emigration and resistance. Admission is free, but prior reservation is required.
One of the most anticipated moments of the cycle will be on Friday, April 24, at 8:30 PM, with the Sant Jordi concert titled “Catalunya al cor” (Catalonia in the Heart). This event will include the official presentation of the Cobla Alta Segarra, performing alongside the Cor Harmonia Alta Segarra. Tickets for this concert cost 15 euros for Casino members and 18 euros for the general public.
The closing of the Democratic Memorial will take place on Saturday, April 25, at 7:30 PM, with the theatrical performance of “Pla per Roig”. Directed by Ferran Utzet and performed by Laura Roig and Jordi Coromina, this piece recreates an interview between Montserrat Roig and Josep Pla, offering a scenic dialogue on 20th-century culture and memory.
For all activities, both free and paid, prior reservation is essential to secure a spot. Tickets can be purchased through the Casino de Calaf website or reserved via the Entrapolis portal. There will also be the possibility to obtain them one hour before each show, subject to availability.
