Driver Arrested in Igualada After Fleeing Police and Crashing

The 26-year-old man, who was driving without a license and without the vehicle's MOT, was located after having an accident in Pla de la Massa.

Igualada Local Police arrested a 26-year-old man in Pla de la Massa early Sunday morning after he fled a patrol car, crashed, and was found to be driving without a license or valid vehicle inspection.

The arrest took place early Sunday morning when Igualada Local Police officers attempted to stop the vehicle after it ran a red light.
The driver ignored the police order and began a high-speed chase, committing several traffic violations. Finally, officers located the vehicle crashed into an embankment in Pla de la Massa.
Once identified, the driver, aged 26, was charged with reckless driving, disobedience to authority, and running the red light. Furthermore, it was confirmed that he had never obtained a driving license and that the vehicle did not have a valid Technical Vehicle Inspection (ITV/MOT).
