The 112 emergency service handled 29,842 operational calls in the Anoia region throughout 2025, marking a significant 13% increase compared to the previous year.

According to official data, Igualada accounted for 32% of the total calls. Health assistance was the primary reason for contacting emergency services, followed by public safety issues and traffic incidents.
The busiest day of the year was July 12, driven by severe flooding caused by intense summer storms. Authorities emphasize that 112 should only be used for life-threatening emergencies, while general inquiries should be directed to 012.
