The Igualada Rigat roller hockey club defeated CH Caldes 2-0 this Sunday afternoon at Les Comes, capitalizing on Barça's loss to take the lead in the OK Lliga standings.

The match, corresponding to the fifteenth round of the OK Lliga, started with an early goal from Matías Pascual within the first minute of play. The forward, who had received the award for the competition's best player in December before the initial whistle, opened the scoring with a cross-shot from outside the area.
Despite the quick advantage, the match stalled throughout the first half, becoming an exchange of blows without further goals. The local goalkeeper, Arnau Martínez, was crucial with several saves to keep a clean sheet.
The script remained similar in the second half until, six minutes from the end, Marc Carol received a good pass from Roger Bars and scored the definitive 2-0 with a shot that grazed the crossbar. This goal eased fan anxiety after both teams had accumulated nine consecutive fouls.
With this victory, the team led by Marc Muntané secures three vital points. Barça's defeat in Calafell (4-1) allowed Igualada to climb to the leadership position with 38 points, tied with Hockey Club Liceo, which holds second place.
