The La Pobla de Claramunt Town Council has launched an environmental restoration project this March to clean the Anoia River and the Carme stream.

The works cover 699 meters of riverbanks within the urban area. The main goal is to eradicate invasive species such as giant reed and tree of heaven to allow native vegetation to thrive. The project is funded by the Catalan Water Agency (ACA) and local funds.
With a total budget of 75,163 euros, the intervention is expected to be completed by the end of March, protecting the nearby Valls de l'Anoia Protected Natural Space.
