Motorcyclist dies in accident on B-300 road in Calonge de Segarra

The victim died after falling from the bike during a tragic 24-hour period on Catalan roads.

A motorcyclist died this Saturday afternoon following an accident on the B-300 road in Calonge de Segarra, located in the Anoia region.

According to the Catalan Transit Service (SCT), the accident occurred around 1:00 PM at kilometer 4 of the road. The rider fell while traveling between Calaf and Súria, and no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
Emergency services, including the Mossos d'Esquadra police, SEM medical units, and Bombers de la Generalitat fire crews with a GRAE helicopter, were deployed to the scene but could not save the victim's life.
This incident marks the third traffic fatality in Catalonia within 24 hours. Since the beginning of the year, 13 people have died on Catalan roads, seven of whom were motorcyclists.
