This second phase, approved by the Municipal Plenary on May 9, continues the urban transformation initiated with the first phase, which concluded in September 2024. The project is financed 60% by subsidies and 40% by credit, totaling 1,038,741.88 euros.
“"These works are a necessary and highly anticipated step that will allow us to resolve historical deficits in Pla d'Òdena and contribute to creating a safer, more accessible, and pleasant public space."
The actions focus on the stretch between Comerç street and Ametller street. This includes the creation of new landscaped sidewalks, the installation of a continuous bike lane, and the remodeling of the square on Masia street, along with new containment walls.
In addition to renewing the lighting and sanitation network, the project plans for the improvement of the children's park and the installation of urban furniture. A new bus stop and a signalized pedestrian crossing will also be built on the BV-1106 to improve connection with the Vinyes path.
The works began on January 12, after being approved with the favorable votes of the governing group Fem Òdena and the non-attached councilor, while Òdena Progrés and Avancem Òdena voted against.
