Historian Josep-Vicenç Mestre i Casanova presented the book Més de 100 anys de futbol a Òdena this Sunday at the La Sort Municipal Stadium, documenting local sports history since 1920.

The presentation coincided with the official team launches of CE Òdena and UE Rebrot. The 324-page volume uses historical press archives to fill the gap left by missing club records, featuring over 600 photographs of local players.

"The big surprise is that there is no documentation. Making a book only about results would be anecdotal."

The book tracks Òdena's transformation from a farming community to a diverse society, including the rise of women's football. Supported by the Town Council, the project was finally released after being delayed since 2020.
