Over 750 people in Anoia found jobs through local services in 2025

The region ends the year with the lowest unemployment rate in eighteen years despite insertion challenges.

A total of 756 people in the Anoia region secured employment during 2025 through the Local Employment Services managed by the Barcelona Provincial Council.

According to the InfoXaloc 2025 report, the employment network assisted 4.241 people in the region, achieving an insertion rate of 18%. Although this figure is below the provincial average of 22%, global data indicates a positive trend in the labor market.
Anoia closed the year with an unemployment rate of 9.8%, representing 6,174 unemployed people. This figure is the lowest in the last eighteen years, even though the region still maintains the highest registered unemployment rate in the Barcelona province.
Regarding the profile of those hired, women account for 57.3% of the placements. By age, the 30 to 49 group was the most successful, representing 41.7% of the total. The most in-demand roles were administrative clerks and cleaning staff.
