The Pujalt Town Hall has opened a tender to manage El Cobert, a multi-service space featuring a bar-restaurant, terrace, and community activities, also offering affordable municipal housing for the concessionaires.

The aim is to attract an individual or team willing to settle in the municipality and boost local life through this new facility. The application period is open until June 30th, with proposals to be submitted via the Town Hall's contractor profile.
The recently renovated municipal space includes a bar-restaurant area, an outdoor terrace, and an adjacent room already hosting cultural and community events like cinema screenings, talks, and yoga classes. The Town Hall provides basic kitchen and bar infrastructure and offers access to affordable municipal housing to help the managers establish themselves in the village.
The concession will initially last four years, with the possibility of extension for another four, subject to a canon payment. Factors to be evaluated include the project's economic viability, the bidders' professional experience, their gastronomic proposal, their community engagement capacity, and its suitability for a rural setting.
In addition to the main catering service, El Cobert will offer complementary local services, such as a collection point for local produce orders, bread sales, tourist information, and parcel reception. It is also planned to host activities in coordination with the Town Hall and local associations.
The council emphasizes that El Cobert is conceived not just as a bar or restaurant, but as a facility designed to serve the community, foster social life, and provide a professional and life opportunity in a rural environment. The initiative is supported by the cooperative Raiels.
This project is part of a broader initiative by the Consell Comarcal de l'Anoia to revive essential shops and services in the region's rural municipalities, falling under the Rural Commerce Network of Anoia, L'Essencial.
