The MPS-Lisosomals association and the La Pobla de Claramunt City Council organize the fifth Transconca, a solidarity walk and cycling event to raise awareness for rare diseases, held in the Conca d'Òdena on Sunday, March 1st.

The official presentation of the fifth edition took place in Jorba, maintaining the tradition of taking the annual photograph in a municipality overlooking the Conca d'Òdena. The main goal of the event is to give visibility to rare diseases, hoping to repeat the high participation achieved in previous years.
The Transconca will maintain its popular and festive nature, offering eight different routes, both walking and cycling. Each itinerary is identified with the name of a rare disease, starting from a municipality in the Conca d'Òdena and finishing in La Pobla de Claramunt. This year, the guest municipality is Carme, which will host the route named Fabry disease.

The solidarity event maintains the inclusive circuit, starting and finishing in La Pobla de Claramunt, to ensure that the activity is accessible to people of all ages and abilities.

Coinciding with the fifth anniversary, the organization has announced several surprises and novelties, including an initiative to name the Transconca mascot, requesting proposals from the public. Additionally, the Transconca Recognitions, now in their third edition, will be awarded to acknowledge work in the field of rare diseases.
