The Igualada Local Police began an inspection on January 12 at a restaurant in the Polígon les Comes due to noise complaints, subsequently discovering four undocumented workers and administrative breaches.

The intervention began in mid-January, specifically on the 12th, when the Igualada Local Police responded to repeated neighborhood complaints about excessive noise generated by the machinery of an establishment located in the Polígon les Comes industrial park. During this initial visit, officers detected signs of labor irregularities among the staff working there.
Following these indications, the Local Police notified the National Police Corps and the Department of Business and Labor of the Generalitat. This coordination culminated in a second joint inspection carried out on January 20, where the presence of four employees in an irregular situation was confirmed.

The inspection revealed a pattern of non-compliance that went beyond the initial noise complaints, affecting both the employment status of the workers and food safety.

In addition to the infractions related to the workers' status and non-compliance with Social Security regulations, officers issued reports for various administrative anomalies. Significant irregularities regarding food safety were also documented, a fact that compounds the seriousness of the deficiencies detected at the establishment.
