Fire breaks out at the Jorba composting plant in Anoia

A fire broke out Thursday afternoon at the Jorba composting plant in Anoia, mobilizing four units of the Generalitat Firefighters.

The fire started at the composting plant in Jorba, located in the Anoia region, shortly after seven o'clock on Thursday evening.
The Generalitat Firefighters received the alert about the incident exactly at 7:20 p.m. and immediately responded by activating four units to control the situation.
Emergency teams are currently still working in the area. The total extent of the fire and the material damage caused to the facility have not yet been quantified.
