The VI participatory budgets of the municipality have concluded with a total of xx votes. The two winning proposals, chosen by residents, are the "Improvement and expansion of Christmas lighting in the municipality" and the "Renovate sports area of Les Pinedes de l'Armengol".
The proposal to improve Christmas lighting received 102 votes. This initiative plans to install more lights and decorations in the main streets of La Torre de Claramunt and its various hamlets, aiming to make them more welcoming and create a better festive atmosphere. The use of low-consumption LED lights and reusable decorations is considered.
The second most voted proposal, with 70 votes, is the "Renovate sports area of Les Pinedes de l'Armengol". This project includes fencing the arches to control access and enhance safety for users, especially children, and to eliminate uncivil activities. It also involves renovating the tennis and fronton courts, replacing fences, repairing the ground and lighting, to create a new functional sports area.
Other proposals that advanced to the voting phase included "Gardened and flowered villages" (54 votes), "Automatic electronic entrance" (53 votes), and "Table tennis tables in Parc del Mil·leni" (20 votes).
The process, which began in early October with a budget of 35,000 euros, involved a proposal collection phase, technical evaluation, and subsequent voting, held between January 10th and 21st. A monitoring committee, composed of residents and City Council technicians, has overseen the entire process. Now, the chosen projects are to be executed.
