The plan, initiated in 2024, aims to improve the condition of roads in the town's villages and neighborhoods. The actions combine pavement renewal with interventions on the water network to improve supply and reduce the risk of leaks damaging the new asphalt.
The first projects were carried out in Can Canals and Can Bou during 2024 and 2025. In Can Canals, work included paving the main access branches to the neighborhood and a new water distribution network. In Can Bou, the intervention focused on the neighborhood's entrance and exit ring and the renovation of the pipes leading to and from the reservoir.
The plan also includes actions in Can Claramunt and el Portell. In Can Claramunt, street improvements are accompanied by the replacement of obsolete pipes and the installation of hydrants. In El Portell, the project incorporates the construction of sidewalks on streets pending paving, the improvement of steep roads, and the renovation of the water supply network.
The latest actions have been carried out in Can Mas, Sant Jordi, Can Mata, and el Bosc de l’Àliga, with a combined investment of over 453,000 euros. The work prioritized access roads and, in Can Mas and Sant Jordi, also included pipe renovation.
The council's intention is to complete the plan's planned actions during this term. Among the upcoming projects is the one for la Venta–Can Musarro, which has already been awarded and is in the site survey phase, with a budget of 1,279,334.38 euros. The intervention aims to improve the main access roads and renovate the water distribution to allow more subscribers to upgrade from flow meters to individual meters. It also includes the expansion of the neighborhood reservoir, which will increase from 140 to 200 cubic meters.
In the industrial estate, the project has a budget of 958,030.23 euros and includes improvements to the paving of roads and sidewalks, road signage, and sanitary and fire water networks. It also incorporates actions for water treatment and reuse, and the installation of consumption measurement and control systems.
