The Badia del Vallès City Council has today joined the three days of official mourning decreed by the Spanish Government following the serious train accident that occurred this morning in the province of Toledo. As a gesture of condolence for the victims, the council has established official mourning on October 29, 30, and 31.
Flags at municipal buildings are flying at half-mast, and planned activities for these days have been suspended and will be rescheduled. Among the canceled activities are the horror passage at Espai Jove, the Halloween masterclass from the Sports service, the town square party, and the democratic memory event.
This evening, at 8 PM, a minute of silence will be held at the City Council entrance in tribute to the accident victims.
