The Bonaigua Pass will remain closed to traffic at least until next week following a significant rockslide on the C-28 highway between Baqueira and the mountain summit.

Technical experts from the Territory department inspected the site this Thursday to determine the causes of the collapse. A 60-meter-long retaining wall, built less than ten years ago, gave way on Wednesday night, blocking the road with large boulders.
The closure significantly impacts travel between Pallars Sobirà and the Aran Valley. Drivers are being diverted through La Pobla de Segur and Alta Ribagorça, adding substantial time to their journeys. Electronic signs in Sort and Esterri d'Àneu are warning motorists of the closure.
Regarding the Baqueira Beret ski resort, visitors arriving from the Pallars side can only reach the Peülla or Bonaigua parking areas, while those coming from the Aran side are restricted to Baqueira or Beret.
