After the heavy rains registered on Wednesday afternoon in Montsià, Thursday begins calmer. Fog has formed in inland areas, the Pre-Coastal Range, sections of the coast, and Pyrenean valleys, which will dissipate as the hours pass, allowing the sun to dominate across the country.
Although temperatures have dropped and warm clothing will be necessary early in the morning, midday will be more pleasant. Highs will range between 13 and 18 degrees Celsius, and no precipitation is expected throughout Thursday.
The change in weather will begin on Friday with partly cloudy skies and scattered showers in the afternoon in the counties of Girona and northern Barcelona. Temperatures will drop in Ponent and rise slightly elsewhere, but starting the weekend, thermometers will begin a generalized descent across the territory.
The cold weather will intensify next week, coinciding with Christmas week. Saturday will bring showers to Girona, Barcelona, and the Pyrenees, while Sunday is expected to bring snow to the Lleida Pyrenees and rain to the south and coast on Monday.
