The Department of Language and Culture of the Conselh Generau d'Aran has launched calls for various editions of its literary and audiovisual contests, aiming to promote the use of Aranese and local talent.

These competitions, which include the Aran Literature Awards, the Mn. Condò Sambeat Awards, the TikTok Contest, and the Aranese Short Film Contest, seek to invigorate culture and creativity in the Aran Valley. The deadline for submitting works is Monday, April 27, at 2:30 PM.
The Aran Literature Award, in its XXVI edition, is aimed at adults over 18 years old and includes categories for poetry, narration, and youth novel. Each participant can submit one work per category, with the possibility of competing in all three modalities.
Meanwhile, the XXXVI Mn. Condò Sambeat Awards are designed for primary school students (5th and 6th grade), ESO, and Baccalaureate students under 18 years old. This literary contest accepts unpublished works of narration and poetry written entirely in Aranese.
The II TikTok Contest, open to individual or group participation, is divided into two age categories: one for young people aged 14 to 18 and another for those over 19. Finally, the V Aranese Short Film Contest, which this year focuses on “new technologies,” invites educational centers, associations, and individuals to create audiovisual works that disseminate Aranese cinematic culture and encourage reflection on current issues.
