This 2.7% increase represents a variation one tenth higher than that recorded in the Lleida demarcation during the same period last year. This figure contrasts with the general trend in Catalonia, where inflation moderated by one tenth, closing the 2025 fiscal year with a variation of 2.5%.
The prices that most drove this rise were those of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which experienced a significant increase of six tenths, reaching 3.4%. In contrast, the category of alcoholic beverages and tobacco showed a downward trend, standing at 3.7%.
Inflation in Ponent, Alt Pirineu, and Aran is one tenth above the Catalan average, mainly driven by food costs.
At the Catalan level, food finished the year with a price increase of 2.7%. Within this category, eggs stand out as the product with the most notable increase, remaining 20% more expensive compared to the beginning of the year.
