The 112 emergency service handled 22,239 operational calls in the Alt Pirineu and Aran region during 2025, representing a 7.4% increase compared to 2024.

Data released in Tremp confirms a steady rise in emergency communications since 2021. Officials attribute this growth to recent severe weather conditions and forest fires that required significant resource mobilization across the Pyrenees.
Traffic incidents accounted for 29% of the total volume, followed by medical assistance at 24%. Notable figures include 603 traffic accidents involving wildlife and 505 mountain rescues managed throughout the year.

"112 means coordination in emergency response, and we must thank this common task among all emergency bodies."

In Aran, the service forwarded 388 alerts to the Pompiers d'Aran. Peak activity occurred on August 17th and 18th, driven by wildfires in Castell de Mur and intense storms in La Seu d'Urgell.
