With the aim of attracting new professionals and promoting the Pyrenean regions as an appealing place to develop a career and establish a life project, the Alt Pirineu i Aran Health Region has launched a promotional video. This initiative is part of the Department of Health's efforts to address staffing needs and ensure accessible, close, and quality healthcare for the local population.
The audiovisual piece blends images of medical activity with the beauty of the Pyrenean landscapes. It features testimonials from doctors, nurses, and other professionals already working in the region, who have relocated from elsewhere. These professionals highlight job autonomy, close patient relationships, multidisciplinary teamwork, and the ability to balance professional life with the natural surroundings.
According to Felip Benavent, the region's health manager, the area's unique characteristics, such as its vastness, geographical dispersion, and cross-border status, have driven innovation and the development of a proximity healthcare model. Benavent emphasizes that working in the Pyrenees offers significant professional and personal opportunities, thanks to established teams and a notable balance between career advancement and personal well-being.
The campaign also reflects the cooperation among the various providers sustaining the Pyrenean healthcare network. These include the Pallars Regional Hospital, Aran Salut, the Sant Hospital de la Seu Foundation, the Cerdanya Hospital, the Catalan Institute of Health, and Gestió de Serveis Sanitaris, among others.
The video will be disseminated through the digital channels of the Department of Health and collaborating centers, aiming to reach new professionals interested in joining the public healthcare system in the mountains.
