The Institut d'Estudis Aranesi – Acadèmia Aranesa de la Llengua Occitana has been honored with the Antoni Flores Award in Casau, Vall d'Aran, for its dedication to the protection, study, and promotion of the Aranese language.

The second edition of this recognition, promoted by Esquerra Republicana Alt Pirineu i Aran, took place in Casau, in the Vall d'Aran. The event was attended by relatives of the honoree, as well as members of the national executive of Esquerra Republicana and municipal representatives from the Pyrenees.

"When I enter the Parliament, I cannot help but think that I am walking the same corridors as him. There are moments when this weighs, but above all, it inspires. With the same spirit of service, and the utmost respect for his legacy, I continue working for our Pyrenees."

The director of the Institut d'Estudis Aranesi – Acadèmia Aranesa de la Llengua Occitana, who accepted the award, emphasized the importance of protecting Aranese, especially after its officialization as a language of all Catalonia with the 2006 statute. He also recalled the figure of Antoni Flores, with whom he coincided during his studies.
The Antoni Flores Award is given annually to personalities and entities in the Pyrenean region who stand out for their contribution to the dissemination of republican values. The sculpture symbolizing the award was created by a local ceramist, reflecting the commitment to the Pyrenees and its people.
