The Institute of Agri-Food Research and Technology (IRTA) is launching its first branch in the Pyrenees this Thursday with an official presentation at la Seu d'Urgell.

The Minister of Agriculture, Òscar Ordeig, and local authorities will present the project at the Sant Domènec Hall. The institute will eventually move to the historic Ca l'Armenter building, which has been transferred to the Generalitat to host several regional government departments.
This initiative is part of a broader plan to decentralize government services in the Alt Pirineu region, including the opening of new public service offices in Puigcerdà and Tremp.
