The Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food has successfully concluded the third call for the Rural Ticket, receiving 221 applications across Catalonia for the creation and transfer of non-agricultural businesses.

This initiative, now in its third implementation, primarily aims at economic reactivation and job creation in rural areas. The grants, awarded as a lump sum with a maximum of 35,000 euros, are designed to cover the minimum expenses and working capital required to launch a new activity or acquire an existing one.
The call, published on March 19 after the regulatory bases were approved on February 19, closed its application period on April 20. In the Alt Pirineu i Aran region, 36 applications were registered, with 21 corresponding to the GAL Alt Urgell-Cerdanya Consortium and 15 to the LEADER Western Pyrenees Consortium.
The total budget allocated for this 2023-2027 edition amounts to 3,000,000 euros, 43% of which is co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (FEADER). Specifically for projects in Alt Pirineu i Aran, 542,000 euros have been allocated, distributed among the two local consortia.
The management of these grants is carried out using the Leader methodology, with the collaboration of local action groups selected by the Department of Agriculture. This approach seeks to simplify documentary procedures for applicants and streamline management, while still requiring compliance with the established regulatory bases.
