The Val d'Aran Hospital has integrated a new Panda iRes thermal cradle this February to enhance the quality of care for newborns through advanced medical technology.

The equipment, fully funded by the Diputació de Lleida with an investment of 33,275 euros, provides an integrated solution for neonatal resuscitation, heart rate monitoring via ECG, and blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) tracking.

"Having a thermal cradle in hospitals is not a luxury, but a basic need that protects the life and health of babies from their first minutes."

Designed to support neonatal neurodevelopment, the Panda iRes cradle features an open-bed system. This design allows parents to maintain physical contact and emotional bonding with the infant while medical staff perform necessary procedures.
This new addition to the Val d'Aran Hospital includes intelligent heating modes and manual controls, ensuring that vulnerable newborns receive safe and high-quality medical attention from the moment of birth.
