Val d'Aran promotes itself at FITUR as an international tourism destination

The Aranese delegation, led by Councillor Josep Canut, highlighted the tourist offer and technological innovation at the Madrid fair.

The Conselh Generau d’Aran, led by Councillor Josep Canut, promoted the Val d'Aran's tourist offerings at the 46th edition of the international FITUR fair in Madrid from January 21 to 25.

The delegation from the Conselh Generau d’Aran, headed by the Councillor for Tourism, Economic Promotion, Commerce, and Mobility, Josep Canut, attended the global reference event, FITUR, which took place between January 21 and 25 in Madrid, gathering 161 countries and ten thousand companies.

Among the objectives set by the Val d’Aran at this edition of the fair were brand promotion, networking with other tourism brands, and exploring collaborations with technology companies to stay updated on innovation and Artificial Intelligence, an area where the fair is increasingly a reference platform.
In addition to participating in FITUR, Councillor Canut emphasized the importance of the Val d’Aran hosting the Elevate Adventure, Travel, Trade Asociation (ATTA) in May, the main international association for the adventure and nature tourism sector.
