The accident occurred around 9:00 AM at kilometer point 38.5, near a local gas station. Due to the impact, the victim became trapped inside his vehicle, necessitating an emergency extraction by the Bombers de la Generalitat.

Rescue teams successfully freed the driver, who was then transported to a nearby hospital. The crash forced a total closure of the road in both directions, resulting in traffic queues of approximately half a kilometer.

The Servei Català de Trànsit implemented local diversions to manage the flow of vehicles. While alternating traffic was allowed starting at 10:00 AM, the C-55 was fully reopened by 11:00 AM once the scene was cleared.
