The Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) has launched a public appeal to singer Rosalía, originally from Sant Esteve Sesrovires, asking her to quit smoking following viral images of her habit.

The campaign, named Rosalía, déjalo (Rosalía, quit it), aims to raise awareness about digital smoke and the normalization of tobacco and vaping on social media. This follows a recent podcast appearance where the artist was seen smoking, an act previously flagged by Nofumadores.org.

"Rosalía, quit it, because being brave is letting go, feeling better again; images get pixelated, but lungs do not."

AECC · Awareness Campaign
According to the AECC, 80% of smokers start before the age of 18. Tobacco remains the leading cause of preventable death worldwide, accounting for 30% of all cancer cases. The association warns that social media role models significantly influence youth behavior regarding addiction.
