Athlete Ona Bonet from Manresa secured the bronze medal in high jump at the Spanish Athletics Championships, using the platform to break the silence on female hormonal health.

The jumper from Bages, who cleared 1.75 meters in the current competition, shared her personal journey. Bonet explained that she had gone over two years without a menstrual cycle, a condition known as amenorrhea, linked to high-intensity sports activity.

"Since September we have worked to get my period back. It hadn't come for two years or so and we thought it was important to make this issue visible and take care of my health first."
