Workers have completed the demolition of the upper sections of the building at 27 Santa Llúcia Street in Manresa, which was destroyed by a major fire on February 8.

The dismantling process is being carried out using scaffolding and aerial platforms to ensure worker safety. So far, the terrace and the third floor have been removed. A platform positioned at travessia dels Drets is working from the inside, revealing that almost nothing remains of the building's internal structure.
A key priority is protecting the shared walls with neighboring buildings at numbers 25 and 29. Residents of these blocks remain displaced until the demolition of number 27 is finished and a full structural analysis can be conducted to determine if it is safe to return.
Two weeks after the fire, affected families are still staying at the Alberg de Joventut del Carme in Manresa or with relatives. There is currently no official timeline for when the demolition will be completed or when neighbors might be allowed back home.
