A total of eleven residents from a building on Circumval·lació street in Manresa were forced to find alternative accommodation this Sunday, February 22, following a fire in the basement.

The fire started around 5:30 PM at number 59. According to the Bombers de la Generalitat, the blaze destroyed the electrical meter room, filling the stairwell and two apartments with smoke. Firefighters managed to control the situation by 6:22 PM using six specialized units.
Emergency services rescued seven people directly from their balconies. The Medical Emergency System (SEM) treated three individuals for minor smoke inhalation. Seven of the displaced residents are staying at the Alberg del Carme, while four others moved in with relatives. Municipal architects will inspect the building's structure this Monday.
