The Government of Catalonia has officially transferred a state-owned plot in Sant Vicenç de Castellet for the construction of a new public housing building.

Located on Berguedà street, near the Montserrat School and the railway station, the site is part of a broader plan involving six municipalities to create 200 protected homes. The initiative falls under the Plan 50,000, launched in February 2025 to mobilize public land for affordable housing.
The Catalan Housing Agency will now manage the public tenders for the construction and management of these properties. This project complements the ongoing renovation of the former Guardia Civil barracks, which will provide 12 social apartments for vulnerable families in the Bages region.
