The Igualada City Council will open a new urban bus stop this Monday, March 9, located in front of the North Community Center (Centre Cívic Nord) following local residents' requests.

This initiative is part of a broader plan to enhance public transport, including the 71,000 euro renovation of the Rambla General Vives stop. Funded by AMTU, the project added a new accessible platform and tactile paving for visually impaired users.

"It is a demand from neighbors and public transport users that will serve this area of the city."

The municipal fleet has also integrated a new bus to improve service reliability. Igualada's urban transport system currently handles over 1.3 million passengers per year according to municipal data.
