During the festival days, the service had 194 unique users who made inquiries about the schedule, timings, locations, mobility, and other practical details of the festivities. The tool has proven its ability to centralize official information efficiently and accessibly.
User diversity was reflected in the languages used: Catalan (73.2%), Spanish (16.8%), English (9.0%), and Romanian (1.0%), facilitating information access for both residents and visitors to Móra d'Ebre.
The most frequent queries focused on the daily program, schedules, and specific activities such as fireworks, the Correbars, the giants, children's activities, and concerts. Activity peaked between 12:00 PM and 12:59 PM, with 98 queries, highlighting the demand for a direct and convenient channel via WhatsApp.
The aggregated and anonymized data collected by 'marIA' (an average of 56.1 daily queries and 6.1 per user) will be used to draw insights and improve future editions of the assistant.
The Móra d'Ebre City Council positively assesses this experience, which has eased access to official information. Mayor Rubén Biarnés highlighted the project's origin, stemming from contact with the Tech Tourism Cluster at FITUR, as an example of the importance of municipal presence in tourism innovation spaces.
Tourism Councilor Lorena Sastre emphasized that technology is used to discover Móra d'Ebre, participate in festivals, and access resources, combining identity, tradition, tourism, and innovation to enhance the town's profile.
The pilot project is part of an innovation initiative by the Tech Tourism Cluster, supported by ACCIÓ and involving Inlea, Tridenia, Noema Consulting, and Omnia Marketing.
