Manresa CBF falls to Mataró in overtime thriller at Nou Congost

The local team lost by a narrow margin (62-64) after a balanced game decided by final shooting accuracy.

Manresa CBF lost this Sunday at the Nou Congost arena against Romakuruma UE Mataró with a tight 62-64 score, in a match decided during overtime.

The team led by Marc Rovirosa had chances to win until the very last moment. Queralt Ribera missed a three-pointer that would have secured the victory before extra time. In the overtime period, Mariona Teixidó also missed a shot that would have forced another five minutes of play.
Despite the loss, both Ribera and Teixidó were the top performers for the home side, scoring 11 points each. The game was a constant battle where neither team managed to pull away decisively during the 45 minutes of play.
Mataró held eight-point leads at various stages, but Manresa responded quickly each time. Following this result, Manresa CBF will travel to face Siroko Gijon Basketball next Saturday.
