The head of Manresa Court of Instance number 5, Ramon Landa, has decided to dismiss the case against Albert Forcades, an ANC protester accused of an alleged assault in Montserrat.

The judicial ruling ends the investigation into events that took place on June 23, during a protest against the royal family's visit to the Monastery of Montserrat. The Mossos d'Esquadra had reported Forcades for allegedly injuring a corporal from the Mobile Brigade (BRIMO).
The dismissal comes shortly after the Minister of Interior, Núria Parlon, and the Director General of Police, Josep Lluís Trapero, publicly defended the complaint on February 4. Both had accused the protester of being aggressive towards the officer.
According to the court order, a video recording was crucial in debunking the thesis held by the Interior department's political leaders. The footage allowed the magistrate to confirm that the events did not match the initial police report.
