The Baik service, presented as the first of its kind in Spain, inspired by French models, has started with the long-term subscription modality. The initial fleet is 200 bicycles, 160 of which are allocated to this subscription, while the remaining 40 will be for the short-term option, intended for tourists, which will be activated on March 2.
The Councillor for Urban Planning and Mobility, Carles Garcia, detailed the long-term subscription prices, which include maintenance and basic insurance. The monthly cost is 40 euros, reduced to 30 euros during the promotional phase until April 30. Permanent discounts are also available for students, minors under 18, and seniors over 60 with low incomes.
“"As a city, it positions us in a privileged place. We are pioneers."
Mayor Marc Aloy highlighted the commitment to sustainability and the suitability of the service for a city with slopes like Manresa. He also mentioned ongoing work to complete the bike lane connection between Carrer de la Concòrdia and Parc de l'Agulla, a project that will allow crossing the city from north to south.
The main service point for bicycle collection and maintenance is located at Plaça Bages, number 15, open Monday to Saturday morning. For the short-term modality, the second service point will be the Tourist Office, in Plaça Major.
