The city of Manresa launched the 29th edition of the Aixada Fair this Saturday, filling city center parking lots despite the cloudy and cold weather conditions.

The central event featured the arrival of King Pere III and Queen Maria de Navarra at the Plaça Major. Actors Ivan Padilla Segués and Txell Vall Ferrer portrayed the monarchs promising to resolve the historic water dispute with Bishop Galceran Sacosta, a key moment in the history of the Bages region.

"We are not afraid of the weather; we have held it even while snowing. It would have to rain cats and dogs for the fair to stop."

This year's festival has expanded to include the Gothic Hall of the Seu Basilica and the new Serarols Square. The event features eight new performances and an enlarged Viking camp, maintaining its status as a major cultural highlight for the local community.
