The historic bar and restaurant El Globus in Manresa is closing a 45-year era this Friday and Saturday with a double farewell session before starting a new chapter under new management.

The venue on Fonollar Street, founded on November 27, 1981, has been a landmark of post-Franco Manresa. Known for its cold food selection, especially cheeses and cured meats, the establishment became a meeting point for artists, musicians, and the pro-independence movement in the Bages capital.

"There comes a time in life when you have to change. I prefer to end it now, rather than the bar ending me."

Eva Babia · Owner of El Globus
Eva Babia, who has led the project alone for the last 28 years, confirmed that negotiations for the transfer are well advanced. The new managers will be the team behind local venues such as La Pineda and Kursaal Espai Gastronòmic.
