The Penya Ciclista Bonavista cycling club has unveiled its centenary book in Manresa, marking 100 years since its official foundation in 1926 by local sports enthusiasts.

The book, titled Penya Ciclista Bonavista 1926-2026. El batec d'una gran família, was presented at the Plana de l'Om auditorium. Author Josep Massanés spent months researching archives to reconstruct the club's history, which faced significant losses of trophies and documents during the late 1930s.

"It is the story of a family that has made cycling a way of life."

Miquel Closa · President of Penya Ciclista Bonavista
The anniversary celebrations in Manresa will continue this weekend with the unveiling of a new monument at Bonavista Square and a photographic exhibition opening on Monday, exactly one century after the club's formal registration.
