Manresa's Poble Nou Neighborhood Celebrates Main Festival Weekend

The local festivities feature a traditional giant parade, craft market, and student-built racing car exhibition.

The Poble Nou district in Manresa is hosting its main Festa Major events this Saturday, March 21st, and Sunday, March 22nd, with a diverse program for all ages.

One of the highlights is the 36th Giants Meeting, featuring groups from Palamós, Montblanc, and Manresa. Cultural activities also include performances of L'hostalera by Carlo Goldoni, staged by the Nostra Llar theater group at the Sant Josep parish hall.
Engineering students from UPC Manresa will showcase their Dynamics racing car project on Sant Josep street. The weekend also features a traditional craft market, outdoor chess, and communal breakfasts in Mossèn Vidal Square.
The festivities will conclude on March 29th with the 21st Motorbike Meeting, followed by a special sea shanty concert (havaneres) scheduled for June 19th at the Font del Gat park.
